Eating disorders have become an accepted and encouraged part of our society. Eating disorders can be seen in many different forms: either not talked about, incredibly romanticized, or advertised as a way to control the uncontrollable. As a survivor of anorexia and bulimia, I have experienced this stigma firsthand. There are many necessary steps to challenging our eating disorder culture, but the first one is to put this vital issue at the forefront of discussion.
